OVERCOMING FATIGUE & INJURIES
Most of us enjoy the football game but we should be able to have fun whilst learning the technical aspects of the game through playing matches and specific technical practices. We need not spend long hours into working at the physical aspects until our bodies reach a sufficient maturity. We should strike a good balance to develop the physical aspect of the game naturally.
Over stretching your body abilities can result in increasing the chances of overloading type injuries. It is always encouraged to promote a fit and active, healthy lifestyle involving plenty of exercise. However, it is more important to allow our bodies to recover from exercise.
Maintaining a good balance of rest and play will give chances of reduced injuries. This is normally associated with over training. As a result, it will also gives fatigue and it will gain an insight into the stress that will be placed on the bodies, which can be long term if not well treated.
Treat your body physics well. Overused injuries are caused by overplay. Do not hinder your own football development. The game of soccer involves strong actions of running, jumping, heading, landing, kicking and fast direction changes, which increase the chance of injury if excessively performed. Your back, knees, shins and ankles/heels will feel affected.
So guys, let us keep our eyes and ears open in recognising an overuse injury. Try to minimise by early recognition and prompt action. Do not dismiss signs and symptoms; the chances of an overuse injury sustained especially in a young player's progress is real.
Enjoy your game
Cheers

CCK Sports Constituency / RAIN UNITED Kids Soccer Programme
Date / Time : 22nd May 2007 (Tuesday) / 0800 pm
Where : Block 118, RC Center
Who : Parents' Meeting
Mr Aw Boon Leong and Razzali will be conducting this meeting with the parents.
The agendas is to discuss with the good football parents the importance to give careful consideration to the purpose of your child playing football.
This reflection fundamentally concerns the 'why' of football. Questions which are useful to ask your child, and perhaps more importantly to ask yourself first, are,
Why is your child playing football?
Why do you want them to play football?
Why invest your valuable time, money, sacrafice and hard work?
What's the purpose of it all?
Apart from it, we would encourage the parents to be part of the integrated programme to enable us to work towards a closer contribution to the football bonding programme. See you there parents.
Cheers
Parents Power
It has been a month since the kids soccer clinic has passed and a very big thank you to all the parents who have been very supportive towards this programme.
Our captain Razzali Aziz has put in tremendous effort in driving this clinic well, the parents who have turned up every weekends, the supporting fathers who have rendered their helping hand in assisting with the kids training sessions, it argurs well with the parents football bonding with the kids.
The continuity of the influential parents' has indeed rendered great support to the kids development. It is one of the most influential sources of a child's psychological and socialogical development in the boys parents.
A coach may interact with the young player for the weekly 2 hours session, but this pales into insignificance when compared with the time a parent spends with their child. It is primarily in the home that a child's beliefs, values, perceptions, attitudes and goals are shaped.
So let us continue together as a whole to rewind our own sports experience and make up for the perceived failures and missed opportunities and looked forward to many more good things to come.
Cheers to you all parents and boys. It has been a joy to be able to spend the meaningful saturdays with all the boys and the parents. I would also like to thank Noryn, for making so much time and effort, despite her heavy work schedules to go round to organise tournaments for the boys.
Kind regards
Sabastian
