Digesting BLOCKS for IMPROVEMENTS
In participating in our first ever league tournament, midway through the first half of our tournament, we continue to cultivate in our learning progress - "The focus in winning attitude".
To maintain our consistencies and to work on areas of improvements, the team have discussed and concluded with the followings :-
TRAININGS
RAIN United seniors will work with the CCK Sports Constituency / RAIN United juniors on every Saturday mornings from 0800 - 1000 hrs. The evening sessions will be put on hold. The objectives will allow us to integrate with our junior boys to go through the fitness and team conhesiveness to enjoy better team football. Mr Aw Boon Leong will direct our trainings, while the senior members will lend guidance to the junior boys.
COMMUNICATIONS
Some of the youths in our senior team have initiated to assist in our communications. Max together with Randy, Jia He and Kenny will assist to render all football matters through communications with all other team members. They will forward all communication issues / uncertainties to Suresh and Nelson.
TEAM SELECTIONS
Both Suresh and Nelson will assist in overseeing the maintainance on the well-being of the team members and team selections.
TEAM EQUIPMENTS
Our training balls and other equipments will be kept in a storage. This would allow us to fully utilize it for our training sessions together with the junior boys. In a football game, we will probably see ourselves having limited ball touches, but in trainings, more feel of the balls will allow us to improve on our ball controls. On an average, we need to have at least 10,000 touches of the ball every year to improve our ball controls and footwork.
With all due respect to our team members, we will hand over the 2 sets of jerseys to all team members for their self-keeping and maintainance. All members will take along the "self-respect and team emotional qualities" for our games.
NEW TEAM MATES
A big thank you to Nelson, Jeremy and Kenny, who have introduced Anthony, Bernard and Jian De respectively to the team. A big thank you to the new team mates too for showing the effort in wanting to be part of RAIN United. We will continue to invite new friends to join us.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR AW
Almost 3 years back, I met Mr Aw, a football passionate, a quality and qualified coach and he gave me the opportunity to learn football. 3 years on, he is still encouraging RAIN United in our trainings, the valuable support and advise he is/has given me in overcoming football and its "difficulities". He has never asked for any appreciations. I wanted to keep this inside me but felt Mr Aw throughly deserved the cheers from the team mates in sending our greetings on his birthday. Thanks for being you, Mr Aw. On behalf of RAIN United, we wish you God's Blessings, many happy returns and an even healthier good health.
CHEERS
Hi mates, though we might not have fare too well in our games recently, we have kept the team spirit as one. Our team attitude and discipline on and off the field has been examplary. Whether it is a "team win" or a "team lost", we have done it as awhole. Let us continue to understand and maintain our "team motto". Absorb and upkeep it. We will be there.
Kind regards
Sabastian
