MATCH REPORT
All the players turned up as scheduled, we had our team warmed-up, we discussed and played to our plan. Everything went positive. It was a good win. A win that shows plenty of discipline and team work throughout the 90 minutes game.
I was somehow appalled with the vulgarities, unsportmanship comments and unnecessary tackles, but we stood up well in maintaining ourselves. This is part and parcel of a football game. It gives confidence to play and enjoy the game as one if we maintain our own objectives.
While the kids enjoyed their futsal at the synthetic pitch, it was also a welcoming to some of our new friends who had joined us. It has certainly adds more depth into our re-structured squad, where we are working towards the second phrase of our next league and football learning progress.
Let us continue to show the same commitment and discipline to play our community football. I certainly looked forward to more football to come, if we can maintain consistencies.
We adjourned to the clubhouse with a light celebration to commemorate our 3rd anniversary. Plenty of cheers and encouragements to those who will be taking their examinations and those who couldn't join us in view of the fasting month.
I looked forward in making up to you with our year end functions.
As for those who are injured or is still nursing your injuries, please get yourself treated well first. There will be more friendlies to come before the league. I am sorry I can't play you Razzali. It was glad to see your kids enjoying their futsal though.
Let us take a short break during the festive period for now, while the committees please assist to get training schedules arrange. We are keeping the Teck Whye pitch maintain to be ready in time for our boys cross-culture mini tournament.
The boys too deserved a break after their examinations.
Over to you boys, I shall update you on the tournament proper, fixtures and details once I have finalized it. It is going to be football, football and more football for you. I will promise you lots of fun and will invite your parents to come together to our year end BBQ cum fishing chalet party. Please study hard for now and do your best to make mommy and daddy proud.
Kind regards
MATCH REPORT - HONG KONG KOWLOON vs RAIN United Game
I have addressed it as the phased II of our football learning. While re-structuring the team, here are the expectations and pointers that were spot on :-
Off-Field Behavior
Players who have responded for the match and did not turned up without even informing
Players arriving late, as a result, no team warm-ups
Players seen wearing ear-studs
Balls not pumped
Do not choose the position you are deployed to play in, no one is guarantee a slot
Do not oversell your intentions. Be genuine to yourself.
You may just need to ignore replies thrice and you will be taken out of the contact lists
On-Field Behavior
We have planned a match strategy before the game. The instructions were complied during the first half. During the second half, it was evident that there were players who have either forgotten their role or just simply had ignored the instructions. We would have been punished if we were to be playing against stronger opponents.
We pulled out most of our first team players after the first half to make way for the younger players. Players who were given their opportunities must learn to earn their position and understand what it takes to play basic football. The game is never finished until the final whistle is blown. Too complacent. Players must understand that the game of football is made up of teamwork. We deployed a 4-4-2 formation and saw 4-2-4 during the second period. Did we get any results in the second half ? If we do something without any plans and good executions, we can never be successful. I will make sure that it will not go on the next time. Likewise, there must be consistencies and mainteinence.
Encouraging Signs
Better communications resulting in better teamwork
Smiles and joy, caused you enjoyed winning
Players who abide with their positions thus enjoying the game better and lasting longer
Most are responding to text responses
