MATCH REPORT - HONG KONG KOWLOON vs RAIN United Game
I have addressed it as the phased II of our football learning. While re-structuring the team, here are the expectations and pointers that were spot on :-
Off-Field Behavior
Players who have responded for the match and did not turned up without even informing
Players arriving late, as a result, no team warm-ups
Players seen wearing ear-studs
Balls not pumped
Do not choose the position you are deployed to play in, no one is guarantee a slot
Do not oversell your intentions. Be genuine to yourself.
You may just need to ignore replies thrice and you will be taken out of the contact lists
On-Field Behavior
We have planned a match strategy before the game. The instructions were complied during the first half. During the second half, it was evident that there were players who have either forgotten their role or just simply had ignored the instructions. We would have been punished if we were to be playing against stronger opponents.
We pulled out most of our first team players after the first half to make way for the younger players. Players who were given their opportunities must learn to earn their position and understand what it takes to play basic football. The game is never finished until the final whistle is blown. Too complacent. Players must understand that the game of football is made up of teamwork. We deployed a 4-4-2 formation and saw 4-2-4 during the second period. Did we get any results in the second half ? If we do something without any plans and good executions, we can never be successful. I will make sure that it will not go on the next time. Likewise, there must be consistencies and mainteinence.
Encouraging Signs
Better communications resulting in better teamwork
Smiles and joy, caused you enjoyed winning
