Go For The GOAL!!!
FOOTBALL PASSION
Since our returned trip from Kukup, we have had more new friends who have came by to join us. A big thank you to all of you who have spread the goodwill and had come by to witness our football cultivations; not determinating on one's playing ability, but the inculcations in driving the joy and laughter that we have enjoyed being together. Off the pitch, we see supporting parents coming by with the boys for matches. We see the boys playing football at one corner, while the adults, putting considerable thoughts into taking turns to play on the bigger pitch. Our approached towards mindful effective communications on and off the pitch during matches further demonstrates that our boys do felt comfortable in learning as part of growing up. The boys and some of the non-playing parents do cheer us on and understood our drive on "winning attitude", not a matter of winning or losing games, which is treated as non-important issues. While the young adults managed good listenings, the friends and parents, applaud good team work, congratulated one another when a goal is won and encouraged when the team is down. At the end of the day, we rewarded ourselves that it is only as game, enjoying the de-stressing at the same time managing our own health, no broken limbs, learning to correct our own field movements, understanding team objectives and cohesiveness. It doesn't matters how long one takes, but the joy in wanting to keep going with constructive aptitude for games. The way we hope to continue enjoying the healthy sport for a long time. What it takes to manage studies as priority as a youth, to set on planning a good working career path as a young adult to enjoying football as a sport; sorting out the priorities. The boys have equal respect when they behave well and correcting the right communications when they talk. I have seen, read, heard and gone through lessons learnt from the worst, whom I called "real" football people. I am thankful for the pace and directions that the friends have set for the team, it thus makes us feel natural in our friendship. I hope to maintain our new jersey logo that can brings us together for a long time, even though we may be too old to play the game one day. Let us also hope that our kids will learn and spread the goodwill with the same livelihood manner some day. They will grow up together working in the same society, hopefully as a professional in the right field. Wiped off the tears, go out and enjoy the beautiful game with the right frame of mind, the right path is a long one. There are more meaningful things to achieve in life.
I have also received many criticisms over the last few years but it will not deter me from owning my rights; what I have learnt from football, how I niched my own working career. I have certainly learnt from many lessons. Likewise, I am also hopeful that my 2 sons will continue to see football as part of learning process. Thank you to the friends who have brought along their boys along for our matches. I thoroughly enjoyed having them around. Every game that we have attended together, brings nice memories. Thank you for being you. It thus motivates me to continue playing football, though age has caught up but I will continue to treasure every playing game having friends like you around.
CHEERS, Sabastian
